UPS wants to buy parcel service TNT Express for EUR 4.9 billion (Business Wire)
New York (BoerseGo.de) – The U.S. logistics company UPS strives for a takeover of the Dutch transportation company TNT Express. As the “Wall Street Journal” reported on Friday, there is a bid of nearly five billion euros, with the U.S. company to have submitted a bid for nine euros per share. The offer was rejected by TNT. The two rivals do but continue to hold discussions with each other. TNT Express is focused primarily on business with parcels, freight and value added services. The Dutch company was spun off in May last year from the Dutch postal mail business.
